This Privacy Policy explains how handoffz (“handoffz,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our application and connect your social accounts. By using handoffz, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to provide the service:

• Account information — your name, email address, and a unique account identifier when you create an account.
• Social platform data — when you connect a platform such as Instagram, we access the information you authorize through that platform’s official login, which may include your profile details, account ID, and media you own. We only request the permissions needed for the features you use.
• Access tokens — the authorization tokens issued by a connected platform, stored securely so we can act on your behalf until you disconnect or the token expires.
• Usage and device data — basic analytics such as pages viewed, actions taken, approximate region, browser, and device type, used to operate and improve the product.

How we use your information

• To provide, maintain, and operate the handoffz service and its core features.
• To connect to and read data from the social platforms you authorize.
• To secure accounts, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot problems.
• To analyze usage in aggregate so we can improve the product.
• To communicate with you about the service, including important notices.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in the following limited cases:

• Service providers — infrastructure, database, and analytics vendors that process data on our behalf under contract (for example, hosting and product analytics).
• Connected platforms — the social platforms you choose to link, in order to authenticate and exchange the data you authorize.
• Legal requirements — when required by law, regulation, or valid legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the public.

Data retention

We keep your information only as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you disconnect a platform or delete your account, we delete the associated tokens and personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain limited records to meet legal obligations. Data security

We use industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit, restricted access, and secure credential storage — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to promptly address any issues.

Your rights and choices

• Disconnect any linked social account at any time from your platform’s app settings.
• Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data.
• Revoke handoffz’s access directly from the connected platform’s settings.

Children’s privacy

handoffz is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you of material changes.
